I live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, a small, ski town that feels slightly more lonely these days since Sally left and moved to Lynchburg. I’m still working on forgiving her. =) I moved to CO from Los Angeles, my home “town” along with Dale, my husband. We’ve lived here since June of 2007. In summer of 2009, we downscaled and moved to this 750 sq. ft. cabin. One week later I learned we were expecting, oh boy!
On 3.2.10, Finn was born, all 9 lb 12 oz of him in Steamboat’s Hospital. Labor was 6 hours, pain meds were declined. For more, read his birth story here.
Most days, I work as an itinerant apologist, defending the value and significance of following Jesus and soul care.
My husband and I travel nationally as a husband-wife speaking team addressing churches, camps, schools and conferences on behalf of our non-profit, Soulation. Our tag line, which I LOVE is, “helping others become more appropriately human.” Read more here

I’m so glad you’re enjoying reading, Kira. It means a lot that someone like you, a mom of twins and a little one is taking time to read and comment!
Hi Jonalyn:
We met once briefly in Steamboat through Sally at the gelato place last summer…I was reading your bio and realized we have so much in common. I finished a MA in religious studies with emphasis on religion/nature and relgion/women. I would love to trade some book ideas sometime! Really enjoy this blog; write on!
Hi Abbie!
I’m so glad you wrote. I would love to get together and swap book ideas . . . would you be up for that?
Email me at jonalyn@soulation.org.
Looking forward to connecting,
Jonalyn
